Block Internet access for a program in the MAC OSX firewall

The operating system used has been a macOS Catalina, although the process will be the same in previous versions.

We open the system settings by clicking on the cogwheel icon in the lower dock.

In the System Preferences window, click on the Security and privacy icon

In the Security and privacy panel, click on the padlock icon to unlock it

We write the credentials that are requested and click on Unlock

    Now we can make adjustments.

We select the Firewall section and then in Activate firewall if it is deactivated

Once activated, click on Firewall options ...

In the panel that will open, click on the icon of the sign+ to add a program to the list

In the search engine that will open, we navigate until we find the program that we want to block

Once the program is located, we select it and click Add.

We will see what the application has been added to the Firewall list.

We select it and click on the options icon at the end and select the option Block incoming connections

We validate the changes by clicking on OK

Remember to lock the settings panel again by closing the lower padlock to avoid accidents.

    And that would be all.
